The LightPulse LP9002L-E Fiber Channel PCI host adapter provides support for 2 GB/s fiber channel data rates, delivering the industry's highest performance. The LP9002L-E features automatic speed negotiation capability which provides complete compatibility with existing 1 GB/s Fiber Channel SANs, while allowing seamless upgrades to higher-speed 2 GB/s SANs. The LP9002L-E provides the flexibility and broad interoperability needed for complex highly scalable SANs. The LP9002L-E also features sophisticated hardware that provides superior performance in storage area networks, delivering low latency and high throughput in switched, arbitrated loop and clustered environments. The LP9002L-E provides a unique combination of features, including switched fabric support using F Port and FL Port connections, full-duplex data transfers, high data integrity features, support for all Fiber Channel topologies and support for service class 2 and 3. Support for fiber optic cabling is provided through a small form factor (LC) optical embedded interface.
